I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first saw this fantastic carrot filled with egg salad on the Hungry Happenings blog! What a fun idea! The blog owner, Beth, makes all kinds of wonderful things there. She shows you step by step directions as to how to transform packaged crescent roll dough into a gorgeous carrot. Then she fills it with egg salad, adds some fresh herbs to the top for the stem, and voila! The perfect Easter brunch idea! And it gives you a way to use all those hard boiled eggs. They even sell Natural Decorating Colors now, just in case you are concerned about that.
I love these little chick cuties, they are made out of prepackaged Rice Krispie treats! And they are on a stick, what’s more fun than that?! Click here to get the full instructions!
Beth also has a Giveaway running right now that you definitely want to enter! Here’s some information about the contest from her site:
“Watching a child’s eyes light up when they are presented with a little white chocolate lamb or hearing a grown woman swoon over a tiny baby chick makes all of my creative efforts worth while. I feel so blessed to have had the opportunity over the years to make so many people happy though my chocolate creations and hope to make one of you happy too! For my first blog contest here at Hungry Happenings, I am giving away an assortment of handmade Easter chocolates to one lucky winner. The package that will arrive on the winner’s doorstep will be filled with chocolate eggs, and a variety of adorable chocolate Easter animals each individually packaged and ready to arrange in a basket. The chocolate in the prize is valued at $35 (plus shipping and handling.)”
