Welcome to CuteEverything!

Enjoy the cuteness of the day with this fun idea. šŸ˜

Mallory from the Land O’Lakes Test Kitchens shared this recipe for Star Spangled Cookie Pops. They are so much fun and kids would just love them for the 4th of July. On their blog, Mallory gives full instructions on how to make them, along with photos and a sweet story about her grandfather. Happy 4th!

Star Spangled Cookie Pops
Cookie
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup Land O LakesĀ® Butter, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt

Flat wooden craft sticks
Frosting
2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup Land O LakesĀ® Butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milk
Glaze
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
2 teaspoons water
Red, white and blue decorator sugars or sprinkles

Heat oven to 350Ā°F. Combine sugar, 1/2 cup butter, sour cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla in large bowl; beat at medium speed until well mixed. Add all remaining cookie ingredients; continue beating until well mixed.

Divide dough in half. Working with one-half at a time; roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/2-inch star cookie cutter. Place cookies 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Place wooden craft stick under each star; pressing cookie dough gently into stick. Bake for 5 to 6 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet; carefully remove to wire cooling rack.

Repeat rolling and cutting with remaining dough. Do Not Insert Sticks. Bake for 5 to 6 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet; carefully remove to wire cooling rack.

Meanwhile, combine powdered sugar, 1/4 cup butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla in medium bowl. Beat at low speed until well mixed. Add milk; continue beating until well mixed. Beat at high speed until very creamy. Cover; set aside.

Combine corn syrup and water in small bowl. Brush glaze over 1 cookie without stick; immediately sprinkle with decorator sugars or sprinkles, as desired. Repeat with remaining cookies.

To assemble sandwich cookies; frost bottom of cookie with stick with about 1 teaspoon frosting. Place decorated cookie without stick over frosting; press down slightly.

– These cookies can be made as regular cookies on a stick and not sandwiched. Place craft stick under all cookies before baking and decorate as desired.

– Push craft stick into Styrofoam and tie red and blue curling ribbon around stick for a festive centerpiece.;iB
